Contractor Service & Fabrication, Inc. (CSFCO), a leading provider of industrial and mechanical contracting services, is seeking an Industrial Construction Estimating Manager to join their team in Decatur, AL.

If you have 10 years of hands-on industrial construction estimating experience, along with strong management and negotiation skills, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact. They are also looking for an Estimator with 3 years of experience.

• Hands-On Role: Take ownership of estimates from cradle to grave rather than simply completing a takeoff and handing it off.
• Travel: Approximately 10-15% travel, primarily local, with occasional travel between Alabama and Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the estimating department, including assigning work, setting priorities, and maintaining quality and deadlines.
• Develop accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, utilities, subcontractors, and indirect costs for industrial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to determine scope and identify risks or missing information.
• Develop project estimates, schedules, assumptions, clarifications, exclusions, and proposals.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing and negotiate competitive terms.
• Identify cost and schedule risks and develop appropriate contingencies.
• Coordinate with Operations, Project Management, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Business Development throughout the estimating and bidding process.
• Conduct site visits and site walks as needed.
• Participate in bid reviews, customer negotiations, and post-bid follow-up.
• Support project turnover to Operations and contract execution when work is awarded.
• Review team estimates for accuracy and develop and mentor estimating personnel.
• Improve estimating processes, systems, technology, and best practices.
• Keep current with estimating technology, industry standards, and construction practices.
• Provide management with updates on estimating activities, opportunities, risks, and project status.
• Perform other estimating-related activities, including bid deliveries and customer support, as needed
