Day to Day:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for material processing, loading/unloading, and job staging operations
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet targets
- Monitor workflow and productivity, ensuring consistent output and adherence to company standards
- Promote and enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with all safety training and procedures
- Identify and resolve operational challenges through proactive communication and problem-solving
- Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Logistics, Purchasing, etc.) to optimize workflow and customer outcomes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Coach, train, and motivate employees
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture — and have fun doing it!
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, lumber, or building materials environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
- Working knowledge of production operations, safety standards, and quality control
- Ability to read and interpret measurements and complete basic math problems
- Physical ability to occasionally assist on the floor as needed (handling up to 55 pounds)
- Forklift certification or willingness to complete company certification program
- Highly organized, responsible, and motivated with a hands-on management style
- Commitment to maintaining a positive attitude and promoting teamwork
