Cable and Fiber Install Tech

We are a telecommunications company looking for techs in the Macon, Warner Robins GA area. The market for this ad is COX Communications.

You must have your own Vehicle able to carry a 28ft extension ladder to be considered.

Shifts will be discussed during the interview process.

Summary Installs, terminates, tests, and troubleshoots communications cable systems by performing the following duties.

Eligibility Requirements

• Clean background check, with no felony ever and no misdemeanor within 5 years. No open warrants.
• Personal Vehicle able to carry a 28ft ladder
• Truck, van, or SUV (white) in good working condition to work out of.
• Valid vehicle insurance and driver’s license.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests while employed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.

• Coax and fiber work
• Pulls cables, such as coaxial, twisted pair, and other cable types, through conduit, above ceilings, through crawl spaces, and between floors.
• Installs modular connectors for data and telephone users.
• Uses cable testing equipment to troubleshoot problems.
• Provides new users and existing users with cable and modular connections, and relocates cable connections for existing users.
• Installs user-end equipment, such as set top boxes, cable modems, routers, and telephony equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $800.00 - $1,400.00 per week
