What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Parts Assembler position at Contra Diesel, Inc.?
As a Diesel Parts Assembler, you will ensure that parts are fitted correctly to meet the requirements and specifications of the final product. Your duties and responsibilities include:
· Material Handling:
o Load and unload materials, parts, and components from trucks, pallets, or storage areas.
o Store and organize materials and products in designated locations.
· Production Support:
o Studying and interpreting technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics and diagrams required to complete tasks.
o Reading and confirming the parts list, interpret measurements and verify specifications.
o Determining availability of materials and tools.
o Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
o Performing preventive maintenance and reporting and resolving assembly line issues.
o Keeping the workspace clean.
o Adhering to health and safety requirements of the company and industry.
o Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
· Safety and Quality:
o Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
o Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
o Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or defective products to supervisors.
· Skills and Qualifications:
o Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, perform physically demanding tasks, or tasks requiring repetitive movements.
o Manual Dexterity & Tool Usage: Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
o Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
o Communication: Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisors and communicate with team members effectively.
o Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical understanding
o Reliability & Work Ethic: Dependable and dedicated approach to tasks and adherence to schedules.
· Education and Experience:
o A high school diploma is preferred but not required.
o Prior experience in manufacturing or assembling is preferred.
· Work Environment:
o The work environment is a manufacturing setting, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and moving machinery. The role involves working indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions and temperatures. Physical activity is common, and standing for extended periods is required.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
