Continuum Therapy Partners is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a consistent PRN opportunity at Newton Care & Rehab in Newton, Illinois.
This opportunity offers a reliable schedule of approximately 20-30 hours per week while providing coverage for a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA seeking steady hours, flexibility, and meaningful patient care in a supportive skilled nursing environment.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist while helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments according to established patient care plans.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility.
- Monitor patient response and communicate progress with the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate patients and families on mobility strategies and safety techniques.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation services.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
