Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making across the organization. This role will play a critical part in analyzing financial data, forecasting trends, preparing budgets, and producing reports that guide executive leadership. Additionally, the position will support accounting functions, including the month-end close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and other monthly activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial performance reports for leadership reviews.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Lead cost analysis initiatives and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Evaluate financial performance against plans and forecasts.
- Support consolidated financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Perform ad hoc modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Drive process improvements through automation and dashboard development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics (CFA/CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of financial analysis or accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial databases.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Position Details
- Reports to: CFO
- Type: Exempt; Full-time
- Work Hours: Standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
- Location: Houston, TX (office-based with occasional visits to operational facilities where PPE may be required).
- Travel: Minimal – less than 10%.
