Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making across the organization. This role will play a critical part in analyzing financial data, forecasting trends, preparing budgets, and producing reports that guide executive leadership. Additionally, the position will support accounting functions, including the month-end close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and other monthly activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial performance reports for leadership reviews.
• Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Lead cost analysis initiatives and enforce financial policies and procedures.
• Evaluate financial performance against plans and forecasts.
• Support consolidated financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Perform ad hoc modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Drive process improvements through automation and dashboard development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics (CFA/CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of financial analysis or accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial databases.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Position Details

• Reports to: CFO
• Type: Exempt; Full-time
• Work Hours: Standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
• Location: Houston, TX (office-based with occasional visits to operational facilities where PPE may be required).
• Travel: Minimal – less than 10%.
