SALMON Home Care is seeking a Music Therapist to bring comfort, connection, and healing through music to patients and families receiving hospice care. This role is ideal for a compassionate, creative clinician who values the privilege of supporting individuals at the end of life through meaningful musical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized music therapy to hospice patients in their homes, facilities, and inpatient settings.
Use live and recorded music to address physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to contribute to patient care plans.
Offer emotional support to families and caregivers through music-based interventions.
Maintain timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program.
Current certification (MT-BC) from the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
Experience in hospice, palliative, or healthcare settings preferred.
Compassionate presence and ability to provide sensitive care at the end of life.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
