Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients with complex wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and diabetic ulcers.
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans based on best practices and evidence-based guidelines..
- Perform wound care procedures such as debridement, dressing changes, and wound irrigation using sterile techniques..
- Monitor and document wound healing progress, as well as any changes in patients' conditions..
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications..
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach, providing emotional support and comfort to patients throughout their healing journey.
Qualifications: Active RN license, Certification in Wound Care, such as Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing (WOCN) or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of wound care products, techniques, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and empower patients.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients in need.
