The Planner Scheduler Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring efficient production operations by developing and managing schedules, optimizing material flow, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams and operational performance while applying Lean principles to reduce waste and improve lead times.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develop, maintain, and communicate daily production schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Customer Service to prioritize and expedite key customer orders.
- Manage raw material inventory levels from procurement through consumption
- Oversee material flow and usage to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
- Monitor and control Work-in-Process (WIP) and Finished Goods inventory
- Apply Lean principles, including Kanban, within the value stream to streamline operations
- Drive initiatives to reduce manufacturing lead times and improve overall throughput
- Utilize key metrics and Lean tools to engage employees in continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years of manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to analyze production schedules for optimal production throughput for the manufacturing lines in the plant
- Ability to review data and use Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and make quick decisions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Lean standard work concepts and their application to manufacturing activities.
- Working knowledge of SAP for product management.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- Experience with production scheduling.
- Experience in Customer Service.
- Working knowledge of SAP for product management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
