Continental Services is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This newly created role supports our organization's expansion and will be pivotal in shaping our technical capabilities moving forward.
What You'll Do
- Architect and Deploy Enterprise Networks - Design scalable LAN/WAN infrastructures across multi-site environments using VLANs, routing protocols, and high-availability configurations
- Manage Critical Security Infrastructure - Administer WatchGuard firewalls, implement security policies, and maintain our VPN infrastructure to keep our organization protected
- Lead Voice Network Engineering - Ensure seamless SIP-based communications with proper QoS implementation and troubleshooting expertise
- Support Data Center Resilience - Collaborate with infrastructure teams on VMware networking, storage access, and virtualization needs
- Drive Network Monitoring & Documentation - Utilize enterprise tools to maintain visibility while keeping comprehensive network documentation current
What You Bring
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments
- Deep expertise with routing protocols (OSPF, RIP), switching technologies, and Layer 2/3 implementations
- Strong background with WatchGuard firewalls, UniFi/Dell switching, and VPN technologies
- Experience with VoIP/SIP, including NAT traversal, QoS, and SBC integration
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications like CCNP, Network , or WatchGuard Certified Network Professional (preferred)
- The ability to lead during critical incidents and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Location & Schedule
- Full-time position based at our Sterling Heights office
- Participation in on-call rotation for network-related incidents
- Occasional travel to branch or data center locations
