What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at CONTINENTAL MANAGEMENT LLC?
A full-time maintenance technician position is available at an apartment community in Detroit, MI.
The Maintenance Technician is directly responsible for:
- Performing general electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
- Perform general plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.
- Paint - interior and exterior areas, as required.
- Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, etc.
- Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, in common areas, etc.
- Assist with grounds work when necessary.
- Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
- Assist in stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
- Assist in completion of work order requests and adhere to maintenance priorities.
- Assist in refurbishing vacant apartments.
- Periodically inspect all units, buildings and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed.
- Assist in apartment move-in and move-out inspections as directed.
- Valid Driver's License.
