Duties And Responsibilities
- Reports to and follows the directions of the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and Plant Supervisor/Foreperson.
- Maintain proper rotation of the products, inventory of supplies, and of assigned items.
- See that all powder orders are properly shipped, and all necessary paperwork is properly filled out.
- Assure that the warehouse stays clean and orderly at all times and that yellow borders stay clean. All supplies and inventory items remain 18” from the walls.
- The warehouse must remain USDA inspection ready at all times.
- Conduct monthly and yearly inventories.
- Keep management personnel up to date on warehouse operations through verbal and written communications.
- Confirm product quality is acceptable prior to shipping.
- Assure that all products meet customer requirements.
- Inspects all trucks prior to loading; they must be clean, free of any foreign debris. Do not load any damaged product.
- Aid in the training of new personnel.
- Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
- Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- This position has no employee supervisory requirements.
- Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation.
- Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
- Must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Basic computational skills required.
- Simple math and reasoning required.
- A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- High School level verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License.
