The Marketing Lead serves as the strategic driver of marketing efforts across a portfolio of hospitality brands based in Austin, Texas. This role owns the full marketing function, connecting brand strategy, content execution, and sales alignment to drive measurable business growth.
The position oversees marketing across Contigo Catering, Table Manners, Ocaso Catering, and One Eleven East, a group of complementary brands that span elevated catering, event rentals, and venue experiences. Each brand brings a distinct identity, yet all are unified by a commitment to thoughtful hospitality, strong visual storytelling, and high-quality, memorable guest experiences.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Lead plays a critical role in shaping how the brands show up in the market, ensuring that every campaign, channel, and piece of content contributes to revenue generation and long-term brand equity.
The Marketing Lead will serve as the strategic driver behind the company’s marketing efforts, owning the marketing budget, setting KPIs, and connecting campaigns directly to revenue generation. This role fills a critical leadership gap on the marketing team and sits at the intersection of brand strategy, sales alignment, and hands-on content creation across all brands.
Location
Our office, kitchen, and warehouse are located in Austin, Texas. This role requires a local presence in Austin to attend events, tastings, and activations for content capture and brand representation. Some remote/hybrid flexibility may be available for non-event days.
Schedule
Full-time, averages 40 hours per week. Most of this role falls during office hours, generally between 9 or 10 am to 5 or 6 pm Monday–Friday Central Standard Time, with some flexibility around event schedules. Event attendance (including occasional evenings or weekends during peak season) is a core part of the role for content creation purposes. Flex hours on slower weeks account for busier periods. Communication on schedule with the CEO will be key.
Day-to-Day Ownership
This role exists to provide strategic leadership and operational direction for the marketing team, ensuring that every campaign, piece of content, and brand touchpoint drives measurable business results. Day-to-day responsibilities will shift with business needs and seasonal demand, but ownership generally includes:
Strategy, Budget & KPIs
- Develop and execute the marketing strategy across all company brands, aligning campaigns with business goals and revenue targets.
- Own the marketing budget; track spend against ROI and report on performance to executive leadership.
- Define, monitor, and optimize KPIs for all marketing channels and campaigns.
- Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, competitive research, and customer insights.
- Prioritize campaigns and initiatives based on revenue impact, ensuring marketing directly supports pipeline generation.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the marketing team, including graphic designers, a paid media specialist (Google Ads), a digital growth specialist, and creative marketing coordinators.
- Coordinate workflows across specialists to ensure brand consistency and timely delivery across all brands.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-output creative environment.
- Help recruit and onboard new team members as the marketing function scales.
- Serve as the connective layer between the marketing team and executive leadership, translating business priorities into actionable marketing plans.
Sales Alignment & Funnel Optimization
- Partner closely with the sales team to analyze the marketing-to-sales funnel and improve conversion rates at every stage.
- Ensure marketing campaigns are generating qualified leads and supporting the sales pipeline.
- Surface trends, gaps, and opportunities from marketing data; present findings to leadership with clear recommendations.
- Align messaging, timing, and channel strategy with active sales initiatives and seasonal demand.
Content Creation & Brand
- Lead the content strategy with a strong emphasis on authentic, non-AI-generated content featuring real people, team members, and company leadership.
- Attend events, tastings, and activations in the Austin area to capture photo and video content, with a particular focus on short-form video and reels.
- Guide team members on content creation for office culture, behind-the-scenes material, and brand storytelling.
- Support and help manage the CEO’s social media presence as a key brand channel.
- Ensure visual and tonal consistency across all brand touchpoints and platforms.

Requirements
- 5 years of professional marketing experience, with a demonstrable focus on sales strategy and revenue-driven marketing.
- Experience in the hospitality, catering, events, or food & beverage industry.
- Based in Austin, TX (or willing to relocate)—local presence is essential for event attendance and content capture.
- Proven track record of managing marketing budgets and reporting on KPIs.
- Experience leading or coordinating a multi-disciplinary marketing team.
- Strong understanding of the full digital marketing funnel, including paid media, social, email, and SEO.
- Hands-on content creation skills: comfortable shooting photos and video at live events.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience managing marketing across multiple brands or business units simultaneously.
