Duties
- Provide expert legal advice across various practice areas such as estate planning, business formation and counsel, real estate and administration of estates and trusts.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, wills, trusts, and other legal instruments with precision and clarity.
- Manage litigation processes from filing to resolution by developing case strategies, representing clients in court proceedings, and negotiating settlements effectively.
- Maintain meticulous records of case files, correspondence, and legal research activities within the law office management system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing ongoing training on legal best practices.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling court appearances, preparing reports on case progress, and coordinating communication with clients and external agencies.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proven experience in multiple legal disciplines is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for case analysis and legal writing.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients in various settings.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence that meet professional standards.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced law office environment with familiarity in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Knowledge of litigation procedures.
- Legal administrative experience including managing case files, scheduling hearings or court dates, and maintaining detailed records is preferred.
