Position Description
We are looking for an Install Manager to join the New England (NE) Operations team. As a key Operations team member, the Install Manager will report to the Director of Production.
The NE Install Manager will oversee all field installation operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accountability across fleet assets, tools, and job sites. This role drives installer productivity by managing schedules, monitoring labor performance, addressing issues in real time, and partnering with Project Managers to keep projects on track and within budget.
Position Key Criteria/Requirements

5 years’ experience with product installation and service of construction specialties. Our products include:
- Manual, motorized, and integrated shading systems from Mecho, Draper, Lutron, Hunter Douglas, Rollease, and Springs Window Fashions.
- Fabritrak upholstered wall systems.
- Barrisol ceilings.

5 years’ experience managing a team of at least 2 people; experience hiring and managing performance.

2 years’ experience with budget management.

2 years’ experience managing a manufacturing and fabrication shop is desired.

Experience creating, implementing, and maintaining SOPs.

Experience in maintaining inventory control systems.

Experience with Lean and 5S.

Forklift certification and able to drive a 26’ box truck.

Clean driving record, able to get a medical DOT card.

OSHA 30 certification.
-
Able to work flexibly.
Position Measurable Accountabilities
- Lead and manage installers to ensure jobsite efficiency meets or exceeds budgeted labor hours.
- Oversee fleet vehicles and tools, maintaining less than 5% downtime and zero lost assets.
- Implement and maintain safety programs, achieving zero at-fault injuries and maintaining OSHA 30 compliance.
- Manage daily schedules with the Scheduler and Project Managers to meet production demand and address labor issues promptly.
- Communicate real-time project updates, safety incidents, and operational highlights to leadership.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing team, hiring, promoting, and retaining 90% A Players and minimizing undesirable turnover.
Position Key Technical Competencies
- Microsoft Office Suite (Mainly Excel and an ability to set up formulas and use pivot tables)
- Knowledge of and able to effectively use power and hand tools
- Ability to understand and interpret construction documents and schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
