The Role
We're looking for a sharp, organized Technical Design & Production Assistant to join us part-time (~20 hours/week), with the potential and hope to grow into a full-time position for the right person.
This is a broad role by design. You'll work across technical design, specs, product development, and production management — touching every part of how a garment moves from concept to customer. Over time, the role will evolve toward a heavier focus on production management while keeping a hand in technical design.
We need someone who can hold the details without losing the bigger picture.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain tech packs and technical specifications
- Support the technical design process from sketch through sample
- Manage product development timelines and communicate across vendors and factories
- Assist with production management and quality control
- Help keep our processes organized, documented, and running smoothly
- Bring a thoughtful eye to decisions that require aesthetic judgment
What We're Looking For
- Experience with tech packs and specs - you need to know what you're doing here
- Strong organizational skills; you're the person who already has a system before anyone asks
- Someone who is Type-A
- Good taste. We need to trust your eye. You understand luxury, you understand the woman we're designing for, and you can speak to both with confidence
- Ability to work in-person at our Garment District office
Compensation & Details
- Part-time: ~20 hours/week
- $25–$40/hour, commensurate with experience
- In-person, New York City (Garment District)
- Strong potential to grow into a full-time role
