General Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the overall management of the Loan Accounting & Reporting Department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of loan accounting and reporting procedures
- Maintaining an effective control environment within the department and assisting with the preparation of the SOC 1 Type 2 report
- Hiring and supervising of staff within the department
- Maintaining the servicing system, including vendor management, system enhancements, etc.
- Oversee the funding and posting of transactions within the servicing system to ensure they are complete and accurate
- Manages monthly remittances to funding partners
- Perform all accounting functions for a wide range of transactions, including the preparation and review of journal entries and various reconciliations
- Research and analyze unexpected changes in accrual reporting
- Identify opportunities for automation and lead the related project/implementation
- Provides front line customer service to funding partners, field servicers, and borrowers
- Provide senior leadership with monthly reporting

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
10 loan/investment accounting and reporting experience, insurance/statutory reporting a plus
Must work onsite in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
