What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pinterest & Social Media Intern position at Content To Cashflow?
Location: Boise, Idaho (Hybrid — remote-first with occasional in-person days)
Job Type: Internship
Pay: Unpaid
Hours: 10–15 hours/week
Learn how to turn that creative instinct into real marketing strategy.
Content to Cashflow is a Boise-based creator education business teaching people how to earn income through the Amazon Influencer Program, affiliate marketing, and digital products.
We're looking for a creative, trend-aware Pinterest & Social Media Marketing Intern who wants hands-on experience learning how Pinterest, affiliate content, and social media can drive traffic and revenue for a modern creator business.
This is an unpaid, structured educational internship (10–15 hours/week, fall semester, with the option to extend into spring). You'll work directly with the founder, with mentorship and training built in. Academic credit is encouraged and supported.
- Pinterest marketing & SEO — keyword research, search trends, content strategy, pin creation, and analytics
- Amazon Influencer strategy — storefront optimization, Idea Lists, shoppable content, and creator opportunities
- Affiliate marketing — how creators select, promote, test, and optimize products for revenue
- Social media content creation — turning trends, products, and ideas into engaging visual content
- Content repurposing — transforming one concept into multiple Pinterest and social media assets
- Performance marketing basics — using impressions, clicks, engagement, and revenue data to understand what's working
- AI-powered workflows using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Canva, and creator platforms
No previous Amazon Influencer or affiliate marketing experience is required — you'll learn how it works as part of the internship.
- Weekly 1:1 mentorship with the founder
- Free enrollment in the Content to Cashflow course (our paid program)
- A guided video training curriculum plus custom walkthroughs
- Hands-on experience with real products, content, audiences, campaigns, and performance data
- Opportunities to develop and test your own creative ideas
- Regular performance reviews to understand what worked, what didn't, and what to try next
You'll learn not just how to create content, but why we're creating it, how it can generate revenue, and how data can inform what gets created next.
You might be a great fit if you're the person who's always saving outfit inspiration, making Pinterest boards, finding Amazon products, following trends, designing in Canva, or sending your friends things you found online.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is located in the Boise area
- Is interested in Pinterest, social media, content creation, marketing, or the creator economy
- Is creative, visual, and curious about what makes content perform
- Is organized, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely
- Is familiar with Canva and at least one social platform or eager to learn
- Enjoys discovering products, trends, aesthetics, or new content ideas
- Wants to learn the business and analytics behind social media, not just how to post
Boise State students are encouraged to apply, and we support academic credit registration.
This is an unpaid educational internship with a defined semester term, structured training, clear learning outcomes, weekly mentorship, and a final portfolio review.
Academic credit is encouraged and supported. This internship does not include a promise of paid employment at its conclusion.
You'll leave with hands-on experience in Pinterest strategy, social media marketing, affiliate marketing, Amazon Influencer strategy, Canva content creation, analytics, AI workflows, and performance-driven marketing, along with published work and projects you can include in your portfolio.
Please share your resume plus links to any social profiles, Pinterest boards, Canva projects, photography, videos, or other content you've created. Personal accounts and projects absolutely count. Bonus: Tell us about a Pinterest account, creator, brand, trend, or piece of content you've seen recently that caught your attention — and why.
