Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with maritime experience to support our client’s terminal operations. This permanent, onsite role based in Philadelphia, PA, serves as the primary point of contact for customers and agents handling container cargo. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring cargo flow, coordinating with internal departments, external vendors, and U.S. government agencies, and ensuring timely and accurate communication across all stakeholders.
Compensation:
- $55,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience
- Monday through Friday, within the hours of 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Occasional weekend or holiday hours may be required
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers and agents regarding cargo at the maritime terminal
- Monitor and update the Terminal Operating System (TOS) and communicate timely information internally and externally
- Coordinate cargo movement with internal departments, vendors, and government agencies such as CBP, USDA, and FDA
- Verify service completion and ensure smooth cargo flow
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to all customers
- Formulate and maintain work plans for terminal services
- Anticipate and resolve issues proactively to prevent service delays
- Experience in maritime logistics and container shipments is required
- Prior experience working in ports or shipping environments is highly preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn internal systems
- Ability to coordinate with government partners and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative team player
