Job Title: HR Generalist
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to join our client to support day to day employee relations needs and strengthen a positive workplace culture. This role focuses on guiding employees and leaders through complex personnel matters, enhancing development programs, and helping shape policies that reduce risk and promote fairness. The HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring consistent practices across a large employee population while contributing to long term organizational growth. This is a direct hire opportunity based entirely onsite in West Chester, PA.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
- Guide managers and employees through workplace concerns by delivering clear support on employee relations issues and helping maintain a positive work environment.
- Lead investigations into discrimination, harassment, and employee complaints while documenting and resolving matters in alignment with company standards.
- Contribute to employee development initiatives including training programs, career pathing efforts, and coaching conversations.
- Help create and maintain policies and practices that reduce risk, support compliance, and address trends identified across the workforce.
- Provide occasional hiring support for corporate and leadership level positions as needed.
Qualifications and Skills for the HR Generalist:
- Background of five or more years in human resources with a strong focus on employee relations and employee support services.
- Demonstrated experience managing sensitive investigations and resolving workplace concerns such as harassment or discrimination claims.
- Exposure to mid size company environments, with union experience or union avoidance knowledge considered a plus.
- A degree in a related discipline is preferred, and strong communication, problem solving, and decision making skills are essential.
- Ability to meet travel needs up to twenty percent of the time with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
