Contemporary Design & Construction, Inc. is a landscape design and construction specialist located in Fitchburg, MA with over 45 years of excellence. We currently have an opening for an experienced Mason.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled, experienced Mason who can cut, dress, and lay stone. This role can expect to work with various materials. The responsibilities include installing fieldstone, veneer stone, granite, brick, and mortar, as well as restoring old and damaged masonry.
Essential Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Cutting, shaping, and dressing materials.
- Knowledge of stone, brick, granite, and bluestone installations.
- Lifting, carrying, and placing prepared masonry materials.
- Reading and following directions and drawings.
- Mixing cement and mortar, waterproofing, and cleaning.
- Restoration of old and worn masonry.
- 3-5 years of masonry experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license & good driving record.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and work outdoors.
Salary/Wage:
Competitive/Commensurate with Experience
$30/hour depending on experience
Hours:
40 hours per week. Mon - Fri some Saturdays
