HVACR Lead Installation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Installation Technician specializing in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead installation projects, ensure top-tier service quality, and mentor a team of skilled technicians. As a vital member of our team, you will drive excellence in HVAC system installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help us deliver reliable climate control solutions for some of the most spectacular homes in Orange county.

Duties

• Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, mini splits, heat pumps, wine rooms and boilers.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations aligned with technical specifications.
• Supervise and mentor field technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Conduct thorough system diagnostics and mechanical repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
• Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, inspection logs, and compliance records.
• Assist in training team members on new technologies such as HVAC/R systems or advanced refrigeration techniques.

Skills

• Extensive construction knowledge with experience in HVAC system installation and property maintenance.
• Proven service technician experience with a strong mechanical aptitude in HVAC/R systems.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans effectively.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications and refrigeration processes.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair, welding skills, boiler operation, and general maintenance tasks.
• Experience working in field service environments with a focus on property upkeep and system troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with testing tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely as needed.
