Contemporaries is a government contracting firm working with the National Institutes of Health in effort to hire a Research Nurse on a long-term contract. This position supports clinical research at The National Institutes of Health by providing patient care, coordinating study activities, and ensuring compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include recruiting participants, managing study visits and biospecimen collection, performing protocol-mandated procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting data integrity. The role collaborates with medical staff, principal investigators, and regulatory bodies while contributing to quality assurance efforts and helping develop research materials to ensure smooth and compliant study operations.This is a full-time position working on the main campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, Monday-Friday. Duties: Provide clinical care and nursing support for research participants, including assessments, follow-up, and protocol-mandated procedures. Coordinate research subject schedules, study visits, and day-to-day protocol activities. Collect, process, and track data and biospecimens; ensure accurate documentation and data integrity. Recruit, screen, and enroll research participants in accordance with protocol requirements. Maintain regulatory and clinical documentation, including adverse events, amendments, and ongoing compliance materials. Serve as a liaison among clinical teams, laboratories, investigators, and external partners to support study operations. Support development of clinical research materials such as procedure manuals and case report forms. Assist with troubleshooting protocol issues and ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practices. Update staff on protocol changes, patient care processes, and quality assurance procedures. Participate in quality improvement and database management initiatives to strengthen study efficiency and data quality. Profile/Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing or 3 years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree equivalent to a Master's degree. Current state nursing license. Experience working in a clinical research environment and knowledge of clinical research data collection and clinical data report preparation. Demonstrates expertise in data management. Working knowledge of ICH-GCPs. Knowledge of MS Office Suite and other spreadsheet applications. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
