About the Role
- Receives instructions from the Extrusion Operator.
- Understands equipment and can continue production in absence of the operator.
- Helps train the take-off man and Packagers.
- Starts up all lines.
- Restarts equipment after a power failure.
- Adjust dies and corrugator as necessary to manufacture pipe within specifications.
- Performs in-process quality control tests to ensure pipe and fittings are within specifications.
- Monitors equipment and performs minor maintenance as well as assists maintenance personnel when necessary.
- Continually train with the Extrusion Operator and assist as necessary.
- Operate all extrusion and molding production equipment in automatic and manual modes.
- Maintains work area and equipment in clean, orderly conditions.
- Other duties assigned.
