In this consultative role, you will play a key part in providing technical support, designing engineering solutions, and contributing to the success of our products in the market.

About the Role:
- Project Specific Design Services: Review project plans and provide design services. Develop product solutions and prepare submittal drawings and calculations. Offer technical advice to support the integration of Contech’s products into site plans.
- Focus on Specialty Products: Primarily work with Contech’s bridge and specialty products such as structural plate, liner plate, and sheetpiling. Conduct structural analysis, hydraulic analysis, and geotechnical reviews. Provide drainage support for products such as corrugated metal pipe and plastic pipe.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with in-house engineers, CAD Techs, Sales/Marketing Team, and external engineers. Provide technical support to the Operations/Manufacturing team for proper fabrication. Communicate and coordinate efforts with field sales staff and manufacturing team.
- Training and Development: Offer training and guidance to the team. Check work produced by team members for accuracy. Assist in the development of training programs and aids for Contech’s products.
- Professional Development and Networking: Maintain professional relationships and attend industry trade shows, seminars, and continuing education courses. Contribute to the writing and development of technical papers and product literature.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Civil, Environmental or related engineering degree.
- Structural, hydraulic, or geotechnical background preferred.
- EIT certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in civil site project preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- AutoCAD skills proficiency preferred.
- Some exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
