Intern, Technical Sales - Civil Engineering

Contech Engineered Solutions LLC provides site solutions for engineers, contractors, architects, and owners. The Contech portfolio includes bridges, drainage, erosion control, retaining wall, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management products. Through cost-effective engineered solutions, we help build, support, and sustain land development projects while protecting the environment.

The Position

Contech Engineered Solutions needs a Summer 2026 Technical Sales Engineer Intern, Civil to join our Cincinnati, Ohio based team. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with our Sales Engineers and field marketing team—professionals who blend technical expertise with consultative sales skills to bring innovative solutions to life. You’ll help support clients across the civil engineering and construction industries and see how ideas on paper become real-world infrastructure.

About the role:

• Partner with Sales Engineers to develop project-specific solutions for civil engineering clients.
• Create and review design calculations, plans, and illustrations that help integrate our products into site plans.
• Support the sales team with data mining, lead generation, project tracking, and value engineering opportunities.
• Respond to client inquiries and offer technical insights that move projects forward.
• Assist with takeoffs, estimates, submittal drawings, and plan reviews.
• Join site visits, shadow Sales Engineers, and experience firsthand how technical sales drives project success.
• Promote Contech products and contribute to regional growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current student with coursework in Civil, Environmental or related engineering field.
• Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and plans.
• Enthusiasm and passion for learning, teamwork and building client relationships.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data base management software, basic CAD).
• Ability to travel locally 30%-40% of the time; occasional overnight travel may be required.
