Electrical Reliability Engineer
Corpus Christi, TX (Embedded in plant)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Reliability Engineer performs a wide range of duties, including some or all of the following:
- Predictive Maintenance: Implementing strategies to anticipate and prevent equipment failures before they occur, often using data analysis and monitoring techniques.
- Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM): Developing and refining maintenance plans based on the criticality and failure modes of electrical assets.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing equipment performance data, identifying trends, and predicting potential issues.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigating failures to determine the underlying causes and prevent recurrence.
- Asset Management: Managing the lifecycle of electrical assets, including their maintenance, upgrades, and replacement.
- Troubleshooting:
- Assisting with troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues, often in collaboration with maintenance teams.
- System Optimization: Identifying opportunities to improve the performance and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Monitoring Automation: Developing and enhancing automated monitoring systems to track equipment health and performance.
- Compliance: Ensuring that electrical systems and maintenance practices comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements:
The Electrical Reliability Engineer (Engineering Specialist) requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- 10 Years of Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Electrical Reliability's duties listed above
- Professional License (Electrical) in the state of Texas is a plus
- Strong experience with ETAP or SKM Electrical Power System Analysis software is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivating, self-managing individual
Working conditions are as follows:
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Overtime: Occasionally (Straight time rate)
- Range: Permanent
- Travel: Up to 10%
- Job Type: Full-time
