Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate tracking using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts to optimize space utilization and process flow.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall warehouse operations.
- Oversee forklift operations and mechanical equipment use, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and safety incidents; conduct regular audits for inventory control.
- Collaborate with logistics partners including 3PL providers to ensure timely delivery and shipment accuracy.
- Enforce safety procedures related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and general warehouse practices.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying documentation and inspecting inbound/outbound goods.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems such as WMS and AS400.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations within e-commerce or 3PL environments.
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation, heavy lifting, and materials handling equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety standards.
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes along with process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
