Role summary
As a Data Engineer on the Basketview team, you'll build high-performance systems and data pipelines that underpin core analytics and client-facing products. You'll design distributed pipelines, help automate and optimize analytical workflows , and work closely with Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure groups to evolve our data platform.
Your main responsibilities
Basketview's platform combines data pipelines in Python and SQL with Terraform, Pulumi, and Kubernetes. You'll work cross-functionally with the Location and AI Products teams to build data services supporting analytics and model integration.

Salary
The annual base salary for this role is between $140,000 - $180,000 based on experience, with the opportunity for a performance-based bonus, company equity, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, flexible and generous time off, work-from-home flexibility, and subsidized health benefits.

As a Data Engineer on the Basketview team, you'll build high-performance systems and data pipelines that underpin core analytics and client-facing products. Your main responsibilities
- Help design and development of data pipelines processing high-volume consumer data.
- Work on systems to support real-time analytics and reporting pipelines.
- Ensure reliability, observability, and maintainability across distributed systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to align business and technical needs.
- Uphold security and compliance standards in data handling.
- Familiarity with NLP pipelines (embeddings, text processing) is a plus.
- 3 years of data/backend engineering experience.
- Strong background in Python and SQL with experience in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with CI/CD and containerized deployments.
- Ability to collaborate across time zones and technical disciplines.
