Key responsibilities include maintaining a sterile environment, ensuring equipment functions properly, and assisting with surgical procedures by applying knowledge of human anatomy and surgical techniques.
Qualifications include at least 1 year of prior surgical technologist experience, a high school diploma or GED, and current surgical tech certification (preferred).
Additional skills required are effective communication, interpersonal, customer service, and time-management abilities.
Ideal candidates may be graduates of accredited surgical technology programs or military training (68D). Certification should be obtained within 12 months if not already held.
Note: This is a PRN position with shifts scheduled on a 6-week basis, with no guaranteed hours, mainly during weekday mornings.
