- Manage post-operative pain, nausea, and complications such as hemorrhaging or infection.
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including anesthesiologists and surgeons, to coordinate patient care.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
- Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and families.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Nursing necessary; Bachelor’s preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state and required certifications, including specialty certifications.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and adapt care based on patient age and needs.
