- Provide Med Surg and Telemetry nursing care, including cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response.
- Manage post-cardiac procedures such as angiograms, MI, and surgeries.
- Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage central lines and PICC lines.
- Care for ventilated patients with chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomies.
- Follow Heparin and Vasoactive drip protocols without titration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and utilize Rapid Response Teams.
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience; ability to float to Med-Surg and other Tele units.
- Proficiency in reading strips, cardiac monitoring, and emergency procedures.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, Relias EKG test, onsite EKG competency.
- Skills in invasive line management, respiratory care, medication management, and dysrhythmia management.
- Experience with Allscripts charting system preferred.
- Cover an average census of 36 patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Provide specialized care for adolescents to geriatrics.
- Maintain compliance with facility requirements, including active licenses and certifications.
- Participate in orientation and pass required exams prior to start.
- Support a smoke-free, COVID-19 vaccinated environment; flu vaccination required.
