Physical Therapist Assistant - Full Time

Position Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant provides skilled education, treatment, and interventions under the physician's plan of care in home health settings. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, update patients and caregivers, and ensure safe and effective therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct physical therapy per therapist and physician directives.
• Communicate with patients and caregivers about the care plan.
• Perform treatments, procedures, and patient education to promote safety and recovery.
• Report patient observations and condition changes to supervisors and physicians.
• Teach the safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on patient care plans and discharge procedures.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, and ensure confidentiality.
• Participate in in-service programs and adhere to professional standards.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a PTA.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
