Provides high-quality, consistent care to critically ill infant patients, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic procedures and monitoring devices. Acts as a clinical instructor for students and orientation participants, sharing expertise and supporting team development. Maintains advanced knowledge of neonatal respiratory care technology and plays a leadership role by educating colleagues and serving as a resource.
Requires graduation from a respiratory therapy program and successful completion of the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist and Perinatal Specialist exams. Possesses current CPR certification and either NRP, Stable, ACLS, and PALS certifications or obtains them within six months.
Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience is mandatory.
