Medical Technologist

Role: Medical Technologist responsible for performing accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyzing proficiency samples, and ensuring quality control within the department.

Key Duties

• Perform laboratory tests and analyze patient results with good judgment and independence.
• Complete documentation and records related to patient results.
• Handle critical specimens and resolve outstanding workload issues.
• Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor.
• Perform quality control procedures and manage problem or critical test results.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Less than one year of experience as a Medical Technologist.
• State of Florida Technologist License or ability to obtain one.
• Licenses in clinical specialties such as generalist, blood bank, serology, chemistry, hematology, or microbiology (generalist highly preferred).
