Certified Nursing Assistant - Full Time Days

Role Overview: Provides compassionate personal care and homemaker services to terminally ill patients in their homes or hospice facilities, under supervision of a registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, hair care, nail and foot care, shaving, dressing, and repositioning to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Support mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
• Facilitate elimination and nutrition, including meal prep and feeding assistance.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and report changes to the nurse.
• Perform basic wound dressing and observe for skin issues.
• Promote safety by observing patient compliance and environmental hazards.
• Provide basic housekeeping, linen changes, and sanitation to maintain hygiene and safety.
• Manage supplies, run errands, and assist with organization to support patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program or current state CNA certification.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of infection control, bloodborne pathogens, and hospice standards of care.
• Strong communication, computer, and basic math skills.
• Understanding of grief processes and ability to support patients and families.
  
  

Additional Details: This non-management role reports to a supervisor and requires a valid CNA license; driving may be optional depending on the location. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, safety, and teamwork.
