Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain planning, logistics, and order management activities for the organization’s U.S. operations.

This role leads integrated Planning and Logistics functions, including S&OP coordination, demand and supply alignment, order fulfillment, and inventory visibility across multiple depots.

Success requires strong collaboration with cross-functional partners—including Sales, Production, Finance, and Procurement—to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused execution of supply chain processes.

The manager will lead a team of specialists responsible for inventory and depot management, logistics, order management, and demand planning/sales analysis, while also coordinating with an offshore support team for procurement and supply planning visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • S&OP and Strategic Planning: Lead the S&OP process to align demand, supply, and inventory with business goals. Develop mid- and long-term supply chain strategies that enhance service levels, cost efficiency, and working capital, while providing planning insights for leadership decisions.
  • Demand & Supply Planning: Oversee forecasting and ensure accurate demand signals, translating sales forecasts into production and supply requirements. Maintain inventory visibility and optimize stock positioning across depots.
  • Logistics & Order Management: Manage logistics execution and third-party logistics partners to ensure compliant, on-time delivery. Oversee accurate order fulfillment and documentation flow, and drive continuous improvement to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Inventory & Depot Management: Implement inventory control practices (e.g., FIFO, cycle counting, safety stock) and manage SKU categorization. Coordinate depot operations, stock movement visibility, and provide inventory insights for planning, reconciliation, and valuation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team across inventory, logistics, order management, and demand planning. Foster collaboration and continuous improvement, while coordinating with offshore support teams for procurement and supply planning.
  • Cross-Functional & Regional Coordination: Serve as the primary interface with Production, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment on capacity, customer needs, and financial impacts. Collaborate closely with regional supply chain teams to support operational execution.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, and logistics costs. Prepare dashboards and executive reports summarizing performance, risks, and improvement actions.
  • CTPAT Compliance: Lead CTPAT program activities, including application, risk assessment, implementation, and ongoing maintenance to uphold strong supply chain security standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and depot or distribution center operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in demand planning, supply planning, order management, and logistics coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and data analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment and support cross-country, multicultural operations.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management methodologies (e.g., ABC/XYZ, FIFO, safety stock modeling, cycle counting).
