The role partners closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure recovery strategies are clearly defined, current, testable, and aligned to business priorities.

Job Summary
Consumer Cellular is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Disaster Recovery Resilience Analyst to support the development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans. This role focuses on information gathering, documentation accuracy, risk analysis, and coordination rather than operational incident command. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across technical and non‑technical teams, translating complex processes into clear documentation, and ensuring recovery plans remain current, actionable, and aligned with organizational risk tolerance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Impact Analysis (BIA)

  • Facilitate and document Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Collect, validate, and maintain critical business process data, including system dependencies, recovery priorities, RTOs, and RPOs.
  • Ensure BIA documentation is accurate, consistent, and updated on a regular cadence or as business changes occur.
  • Track and report gaps, risks, and dependencies identified through BIA activities.

Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

  • Create, update, and maintain Business Continuity Plans in partnership with business units.
  • Ensure BCP documentation clearly defines roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and continuity strategies.
  • Validate that continuity plans align with BIA outcomes and organizational priorities.
  • Support periodic reviews and updates to reflect organizational, process, or technology changes.

Disaster Recovery (DR) Documentation

  • Maintain and update Disaster Recovery plans for IT systems and platforms in collaboration with infrastructure, application, and security teams.
  • Document recovery strategies, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints for critical systems.
  • Ensure DR documentation aligns with defined RTO/RPO requirements and technical recovery capabilities.
  • Track DR documentation coverage and maturity across the environment.

Testing, Exercises, and Validation

  • Support the planning, documentation, and execution of DR and BCP tests, tabletop exercises, and simulations.
  • Capture test results, lessons learned, and improvement actions.
  • Track remediation items and follow up with stakeholders to ensure documentation and plans are updated accordingly.

Risk Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with identifying resilience gaps, documentation weaknesses, and process risks.
  • Support updates to standards, templates, and documentation frameworks to improve consistency and usability.
  • Help mature the organization’s resilience posture through incremental improvements and documentation quality.

Reporting and Documentation Management

  • Maintain centralized repositories for BIA, BCP, and DR documentation.
  • Produce regular status reports on documentation coverage, testing activities, and identified risks.
  • Ensure documentation meets internal standards and audit expectations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, or IT operations.
  • Hands‑on experience documenting or maintaining BIA, BCP, and/or DR plans.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams to gather and validate technical and business information.
  • Familiarity with IT environments, including infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured documentation.
  • Hands-on, approachable leader who leads with accountability, integrity, and trust
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying gaps, dependencies, and risks.
  • Effective communication skills for working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple documentation efforts in parallel and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Experience supporting or documenting Business Impact Analyses (BIA).
  • Familiarity with DR/BCP tools or platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, spreadsheets, GRC tools).
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) from a documentation or planning perspective.

Relevant Certifications

  • CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
  • ITIL Foundation
  • DR or resilience‑focused training or coursework

Work Environment

  • Primarily business‑hours role with limited after‑hours involvement.
  • Participation in scheduled DR or BCP exercises.
  • Collaboration with remote teams.
