We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a strategic AI Enablement initiative focused on improving finance and administrative business processes through the practical application of emerging AI technologies. This role will partner with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, analytics, and decision-making across enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with expertise in Java, Python, and AWS who is actively expanding their knowledge of modern AI technologies such as Claude, Amazon Bedrock, and other enterprise AI platforms. This role is focused on applying AI capabilities to real-world business problems rather than developing foundational machine learning models or LLMs.

• Strong software development experience using Java and Python
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development
• Experience with software configuration management and code baseline management across development and test environments
• Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools and enterprise AI platforms
• Understanding of modern AI technologies, including LLM-based solutions, prompt engineering concepts, and AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience integrating applications, APIs, SaaS platforms, or enterprise systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD practices, and secure software development principles

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Claude, Copilot, or similar AI platforms
• Exposure to enterprise finance systems such as Workday Financials, FlexTrack, or related platforms
• Experience with workflow automation, intelligent automation, or RPA initiatives
• Experience implementing analytics, reporting, or AI-driven decision-support solutions
• Familiarity with evaluating and integrating SaaS solutions

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-enabled process improvements across finance and administrative functions
• Participate in discovery workshops, proof-of-concept efforts, and pilot implementations to evaluate AI use cases
• Assess technical feasibility, implementation approaches, and architectural tradeoffs for proposed AI solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and integrations using Java, Python, and AWS technologies
• Create and maintain product builds, deployment pipelines, and development/test code baselines
• Recommend enhancements to configuration management, build automation, and software delivery processes
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications aligned with business objectives
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Document solution designs, implementation approaches, risks, and recommendations

• Engage directly with business users, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions
• Facilitate discussions regarding AI solution options, benefits, limitations, risks, and implementation considerations
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Document and report project status, outcomes, recommendations, and performance metrics
• Provide informal mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and delivery processes
• Contribute feedback and recommendations for development standards, AI governance practices, and operational procedures
• Adhere to enterprise technology policies, security controls, and compliance requirements
• Ensure all deliverables meet established quality, security, and operational standards
• Support responsible adoption of AI technologies through thoughtful evaluation, risk assessment, and implementation best practices

• Senior-level engineer with strong technical depth and sound engineering judgment
• Demonstrates curiosity and continuous learning around AI and emerging technologies
• Able to balance innovation with practical implementation considerations
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where requirements evolve through discovery and experimentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and evaluate competing solution approaches
