Cybersecurity Engineer (PAM)

The Cybersecurity team designs, implements, and supports enterprise security technologies that protect identities, privileged access, and critical systems across the organization. This role focuses on privileged access management, identity governance, and directory services in complex enterprise environments. The position operates in a fast paced environment that requires agility while meeting regulatory and security framework requirements.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with PAM platforms, identity and access management controls, directory services, and security operations supporting privileged identities across on premise and cloud environments.
Essential Functions
Research, evaluate, and implement privileged access and identity security solutions
Configure and manage PAM platforms, policies, and workflows
Coordinate with vendors and service providers supporting identity and PAM technologies
Manage system configurations, access policies, and operational activities for assigned security tools
Monitor PAM activity, alerts, and access events and perform investigations as needed
Support incident response, troubleshooting, and remediation related to privileged access
Track and follow up on security work requests, ensuring timely resolution and approvals
Support escalations, known issues, and out of cycle requests
Develop and maintain operational documentation including procedures and diagrams
Collect, analyze, and present identity and access metrics to stakeholders
Assist with migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning of identity and PAM platforms
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams on identity initiatives
Support continuous validation and security hardening efforts
Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing for identity security solutions
Support remediation efforts resulting from audits, assessments, and vulnerability findings
Provide training and guidance on identity and PAM processes
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Privileged Access Management platforms
Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts
Experience securing privileged identities across on premise and cloud environments
Experience with directory services and identity repositories
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and remediate access-related security issues
Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Required Work Experience
4 or more years of related IT experience
2 or more years in cybersecurity
2 or more years supporting identity, access, or infrastructure systems
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
Required Certifications
Relevant cybersecurity or technical certification required
Certification must be obtained within six months if not already held
Specific certification requirements defined by the hiring manager
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Waterfall, Agile, Lean, or SAFe methodologies
