Consulting Ophthalmologists is seeking a full-time ophthalmic scribe / writer / medical assistant. We are privately owned and have been in the greater Hartford community for 50 years.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Chart documentation in an electronic medical record alongside physician
- Performing some vision testing.
- Assisting in minor ophthalmic procedures.
- Providing written instructions and/or patient education materials, ensuring patient understands all instructions.
- Ensuring patient-flow.
- Performing ancillary tests on patients
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical office is a plus, but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent spelling and keyboard skills.
- Must be able to type in a dimly-lit setting.
- Ability to travel between clinic locations (Farmington/Glastonbury)
