Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Programmer/Setup/Machinist based in Amsterdam, MO. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components based on engineering drawings and specifications. Typical tasks include writing and editing CNC programs, calibrating machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring quality control. Collaboration with the engineering and production teams to optimize processes and meet production goals will also be a key responsibility.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC programming, including knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Experience in machine setup and calibration, with an understanding of tooling and fixture design
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving machine issues
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience with quality control processes such as measurements, tolerances, and inspections
- Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software for creating CNC programs
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
