About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer , you will be a key technical contributor on client projects. Your day-to-day work will vary, ranging from being the sole engineer on a project to being embedded with large, high-performing client teams—on-site or remotely.
You will:
- Own mechanical design workstreams from ideation and prototyping to production
- Analyze mechanical risks and solve complex design challenges using first principles
- Apply design-for-manufacturing principles across various fabrication processes
- Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in engineering, manufacturing, and product
- Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism
Who You Are
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Product Development work setting
- Excellent skills in mechanical design, analysis, problem-solving and communication
- Ability to work remotely and onsite at various locations in the SF Bay Area, as project needs dictate.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively
- Desire for learning, growth, and development in your career as an engineer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ASCE 7 and UL compliance for electronics enclosures
- Experience designing sheet metal enclosures, particularly using SolidWorks
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong analytical skills (FEA, FBD, tolerance stackups, thermal analysis, CFD, etc.)
- Hands-on prototyping and debugging experience
- Experience across the full product lifecycle—from concept to production
- Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), and creating 2D drawings
