CEI is hiring a LAB Technician Level S6 or S7 for Kingman, Az.

Lab Tech or Lab Supervisor Lab Supervisor in the Kingman area to oversee and lead the daily operations of our laboratory. The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for supervising cement, concrete, asphalt and aggregate testing, ensuring compliance with national standards, maintaining laboratory safety, and managing lab equipment and personnel.
Perdiem is provided, company truck and gas card all provided. Project will last up to a year. Need to be open to working in the Kingman area for this project.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and support laboratory staff in routine and advanced testing procedures.
- Maintain the functionality and calibration of laboratory equipment, including compression machines, cure tanks, and sieve shakers.
- Lead efforts to ensure compliance with AASHTO R18 and ASTM C1222 standards, including overseeing CCRL inspections and proficiency testing programs.
- Ensure testing procedures strictly adhere to ASTM and AASHTO standards.
- Monitor laboratory performance and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Prepare laboratory reports, purchase orders, and equipment recommendations.
- Manage laboratory inventory and ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
- Oversee laboratory certifications and maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience managing laboratory operations and staff.
- In-depth knowledge of AASHTO and ASTM standards related to construction materials testing.
- ACI and ATTI lab certifications:
ATTI Soil & Aggregate
ATTI Asphalt
ACI Strength desired
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions
- Withstanding exposure to extreme weather conditions in construction areas located in rugged terrain and/or subject to traffic hazards.
- Frequent travel to work in remote locales.
- Occasional lifting in excess of 50 pounds, repetitive tasks with few breaks, extended walking over rough terrain, climbing over 10 feet, exposure to hazardous materials, continuous loud noises, strenuous physical activity and/or proximity to large construction equipment.
- Safe driving habits which will be monitored via company vehicle GPS tracking system.
- Work is fulltime, may require traveling out of town, evening, or weekend hours.
