What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at ConstructionExecs?
About the Company: Our client is part of a growing group of steel companies operating across the U.S. and Canada. This is more than a Production Manager position at a single fabrication facility—it is an opportunity to join a larger organization with multiple companies, strong executive leadership, and long-term career mobility. The leadership team operates collaboratively using EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), including strategic planning, Rocks, leadership meetings, and cross-company initiatives. Senior leaders have opportunities to work with other companies throughout the organization, participate in leadership meetings and travel, and build relationships across the broader group.
For an accomplished steel professional who has been successful where they are but is ready for a bigger platform, greater influence, and the next step in their career, this is a compelling opportunity.
About the Role: Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Production Manager will have responsibility for the overall performance of the fabrication operation, including:
- Production planning and scheduling
- Labor, equipment, and material utilization
- Quality, safety, cost, and productivity
- Leadership of supervision and maintenance teams
- Production KPIs and continuous improvement
- Improving manufacturing methods and project flow
- Collaboration with estimating, purchasing, logistics, quality, HR, and executive leadership
Responsibilities: We are seeking a proven steel fabrication leader with deep operational experience who understands both the people and production sides of the business.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate brings:
- Significant leadership experience within steel fabrication
- Strong production and personnel-management experience
- Ability to read plans and fabrication drawings
- Strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement
- The leadership presence to operate as a key member of the management team
Pay range and compensation package: This opportunity includes an executive-level salary and incentive package, along with:
- Medical insurance through UnitedHealthcare
- Company reimbursement of 80% of the medical deductible, up to $4,000 per person
- 401(k) with employer match up to 4.5%
- Paid vacation and PTO
- Executive leadership exposure
- Cross-company career opportunities
- Leadership development and strategic planning
- Opportunities for travel and collaboration across the organization
Equal Opportunity Statement: You aren’t joining one steel company. You’re joining a platform. If you have built a strong career in steel fabrication and are looking for greater responsibility, stronger compensation, executive exposure, and room to grow beyond one facility, we would like to speak with you. All conversations are confidential.
