About the Company

Key Responsibilities
Review drawings, specifications, and RFQs to perform quantity takeoffs
Develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractors
Prepare complete and competitive bid proposals for steel fabrication and erection
Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for scope and price
Collaborate with engineering, project managers, and clients to clarify scope and resolve questions
Track and maintain estimating records and cost histories
Qualifications
5 years of experience estimating structural/miscellaneous steel projects
Experience working for a steel fabricator or erection contractor
Proficient in Bluebeam, Tekla EPM/PowerFab, or similar takeoff/estimating tools
Familiarity with AISC standards, fabrication practices, and construction methods
Strong Excel skills and experience with construction or ERP systems
Detail-oriented with strong math, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field – or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
Experience in union labor markets ( CA area preferred)
Exposure to high-rise, infrastructure, or large commercial steel projects
