Project Engineer – Building Envelope
Baltimore, MD | Projects throughout DC / MD / VA
CSG is seeking a technically strong Project Engineer (3–5 years) with building envelope experience to support forensic investigations, repair design, and construction-phase services on mid- to high-rise residential, mixed-use, institutional, and commercial properties across the DMV region.
Ideal candidates may currently be working in façade consulting, structural restoration, waterproofing design, or enclosure commissioning and are seeking greater responsibility and direct mentorship.
- Perform façade, roofing, balcony, plaza, and below-grade condition assessments
- Conduct water infiltration investigations and diagnostic openings
- Develop repair drawings, technical details, specifications, and cost opinions
- Perform structural and building envelope calculations
- Review submittals/shop drawings for code and specification compliance
- Support bidding, contractor coordination, and construction administration
- Prepare technical reports for HOAs, property managers, and institutional clients
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3–5 years of building envelope, restoration, or structural design experience
- Experience with concrete repair, façade rehabilitation, or waterproofing systems preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (THERM/WUFI a plus)
- EIT required; actively pursuing PE licensure
- Comfortable performing hands-on field work (lifts, roof access, swing stages)
- Willing to travel within MD/DC/VA (~25%)
- Salary range: $85-$140k Commensurate with experience
