Primary Responsibilities
- Using computer aided drafting, prepares complicated concrete formwork layout drawings for assigned projects.
- Responsible for the design and detailing of forming systems.
- Reviews and analyzes the project documents and identifies drawing and specification conflict, insufficient information, and missing dimensions while contributing ideas to enhance project productivity and cost-efficiency.
- Prepares quantity takeoffs and estimates as required at an advanced level.
- Evaluates and coordinates material requirements with field supervisors to ensure availability and efficient utilization of equipment on assigned projects.
- Ensures duplication and delivery of up-to-date drawings and instructions to the job site.
- Records, updates, and maintains RFI, Product Submittal, and drawing logs.
- Ensures efficient inventory control and storage of shop drawings and contract documents.
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work experience plus five years of experience performing similar primary responsibilities.
- Strong mathematical and visualization skills
- Advanced PC skills, specifically in a Windows environment, including collecting and analyzing data in Excel and creating documents and preparing correspondence in Outlook and Word
