This position works closely with Scheduling and Operations while also developing strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and field partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to finding effective solutions to difficult field conditions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Scheduling Department to ensure quality installations and timely completion of punch and repair work.

  • Consistently improve technical skills and develop innovative, practical methods for accomplishing difficult or unusual repairs.
  • Create and improve systems, processes, and communication methods that adequately support the inside team and field clients.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, builders, installers, and other field partners so routine details can be handled efficiently without unnecessary involvement from Scheduling.
  • Communicate the results of each repair to the Scheduling Department and Operations Manager, including whether the repair was successful, unsuccessful, or requires additional action.
  • Take clear before-and-after photographs of completed repairs and adjustments for documentation, communication, and quality-control purposes.
  • Assist with field troubleshooting and provide useful feedback to the inside team regarding recurring installation or product issues.
  • Work as a team player and support other departments and field personnel when needed.

FIELD SERVICES & ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Mount and install sinks.
  • Drill holes and make minor field modifications or adjustments.
  • Perform caulking and finishing work.
  • Complete minor countertop and stone repairs, including grinding, honing, polishing, and blending as appropriate.
  • Occasionally perform small 'one-man' installation jobs when required.
  • Perform other reasonable field-service duties necessary to support successful installations and customer satisfaction.

TOOLS, VEHICLE & WORK AREA

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
  • Properly maintain, organize, and care for company tools and equipment.
  • Maintain adequate repair materials and supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed.
  • Complete or coordinate scheduled maintenance for the company vehicle and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow all applicable company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

PHYSICAL & FIELD REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in residential and construction environments, including finished homes, active job sites, tight spaces, and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and stone-fabrication/repair equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Ability to accurately take measurements and understand job paperwork, installation documentation, drawings, and plans.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, and capable of working independently in the field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when standard repair methods are not sufficient.
  • Demonstrated ability or willingness to become highly skilled with a side grinder and polishing equipment across a variety of natural and engineered stone surfaces.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, repair work, construction practices, and field installation procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continually improve technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

Success in this position means more than simply completing repairs. The Punch / Repair Specialist should become a trusted problem-solver for the field and inside teams-someone who can identify issues, develop solutions, communicate clearly, protect the customer experience, and help Construction Resources continuously improve its installation and punch processes.
