What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Estimator position at Construction Resources Group?
Construction Resources Group is growing, and we’re looking to add a Structural Steel Estimator to our team! This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits and the opportunity to work in a supportive, family-owned environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural & misc. steel projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform material takeoffs and labor calculations
- Coordinate with project managers, detailers, vendors, and clients
- Track and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Assist in bid submissions and project handoff
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in structural & misc. steel estimating (preferred), detailing, and/or project management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specs
- Proficiency in estimating software (Tekla, EPM, Bluebeam etc.) and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and deadline driven
